Express Entry is the most popular immigration system in Canada for economic immigrants. Introduced by the Government of Canada in 2015, this innovative system was designed to streamline the immigration process and significantly cut down on wait times for newcomers.

Winter may officially kick off in December, but don't be surprised if snowflakes start dancing down as early as October, sticking around until April. January and February, the chilliest months, usually see temperatures hovering between -2°C and -10°C, averaging around -6°C. However, when the wind picks up, it can feel like a bone-chilling -20°C.

When it comes to Canadian immigration, you often hear about candidates applying for or waiting in the Express Entry Pool. But what exactly is this pool, and why is it essential to be in it to receive an Invitation to Apply?

On February 5th, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) conducted a Canadian Experience Class (CEC) draw, extending invitations to 4,000 candidates to apply for Permanent Residency. To be eligible for this draw, candidates needed to have been in the Express Entry pool on or before November 14th, 2024, and possess a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System score of 521.
