Guilin Cabinets

We chose Guilin Cabinets for our primary bathroom and closet renovation. They earn a well-deserved 4.8 stars, navigating some project hiccups with professionalism.

Their project management team was remarkable, quickly addressing issues and aligning the work with our vision. Despite delays from suppliers and minor installation errors like a misaligned freestanding tub faucet and low shower head, the team efficiently corrected these missteps.

The tile work was exceptional, and their swift action in fixing a minor custom closet issue was impressive. This responsiveness and commitment to quality really set them apart.

Though custom work brings challenges, Guilin Cabinets' ability to rectify issues and deliver a high-quality final product is commendable. We're delighted with our new bathroom and closet, reflecting their dedication to customer satisfaction.

Guilin Cabinets did an amazing job on our kitchen remodel. They communicted with us on every aspect and quickly replied to all of our questions. Andrew was our project manager and Jack was our designer. All of the crew were superb craftsmen, great to work with, and were always on time and neat and clean and prevented any dust and debris from getting into the rest of the house. And they were great with our dogs! They brought the project in on time and remained within our budget as well. In all ways they are a terrific company and I have recommended them to all my friends.

This is an unfortunate amendment to my review which was written as soon as the cabinets were installed, but 10 days before the appliances arrived. My original review was solicited by Guilin with a specific request to mention names of people on the team and a promise of gift cards (never materialized) for these mentions. The appliance installation was being done by professional installers from Pirch. The following sequence of events occured:

1.The appliance installers could not fit the 2 ovens in their enclosures. One oven sat a little too high and couldn't fully slide in. The other oven sat a little low so that its door couldn't fully open. The installers asked for Guilin to come back and adjust.

2. About 15 days later Edgar from Guilin came to fix the problem with the following results. The top oven looked good. The bottom oven was sticking out by about 1/2 inch. Edgar told me that this is how this oven is, and I just had to accept. But I looked at the specs of the oven and its depth was 2-4 inches less than the depth of the enclosure. I complained to Guilin, pointing out the fact that according to specs this was a flush-installation oven. Four days later I had to remind them about the problem, sent a copy of the specs (which they were supposed to have all along). Got the following response from Andrew: 'If [Edgar] said that's as far as it goes I will believe him. Sometimes the electrical conduit will be in the back and cause the oven to stick out a little bit, I don't recall where it was located since we didn't do the wiring. I send our guy to reinstall the ovens as a courtesy since we weren't responsible for any appliance/electrical'. Thus, Guilin was refusing the responsibility.

3. I got the Pirch installers to come back again and see if they could explain the problem. They circled the place on the installation diagram which illustrated what part of the cabinet enclosure was not up to specs. I reported this to Guilin with illustrations.

4. Eight days later Edgar came back. The proper fixing of the problem would have required too much disassembling. So he had to create cutouts in the existing cabinet walls. He did this for both ovens, because the top one was slightly protruding too, though not as much as the lower one. Now the ovens fit, and looked flush. I had to remind Edgar to cover any resulting gaps with pieces of matching wood. For the top oven, the wood plank to cover the gap was not long enough and left gaps on either side. I complained about this by calling several times and texting once, but never got a response.

This whole saga took 6 weeks. I now have the oven with this small imperfection, which happens to be at the eye level. I am shocked by the change in attitude on the part of Guilin. In ALL my communications I was courteous and factual.

They make one of the best cabinets and customer service is next to none. Give them a try... you won't be disappointed!

We are super happy with how our remodel turned out. What started as a small kitchen remodel ended up being a full demo with walls coming down and the transformation is perfect for us. Guilin ended up handling our entire project which included a new kitchen, bar, floors, 2 bathrooms and new doors throughout our home. Christine designed the space beautifully and the rest of the team executed the vision. Couldn't be happier with the finished product. Obviously with any large project there are hiccups along the way but the Guilin team was patient through every step. Thank you to everyone for your part in making our dream home!

It wasn't hard to pick Guilin Cabinets from our choices of contractors when it came to remodeling our two bathrooms. The people who we worked with were honest, always on time, and professional. Throughout the entire process, they maintained good communication. The workers were very professional as well and the work was top notch. We love the results and have plans to use them for our kitchen. I highly recommend!

We had our bathroom vanity remodeled by Guilin Cabinets and are very happy with how it turned out! It took about a week to complete and everyone was great to work with.

We were working with a sales rep to plan our upcoming kitchen design. He came out to the house and measured. We went to the show room and spent a couple hours choosing cabinets and planning the lay out. We were told the design and estimate would be sent to us in a week. 3 weeks later we got the estimate after several reminders. We never got the design. I have sent a few more texts after for updates and we are now being completely ghosted. We are not difficult/rude people. All communication toward us dropped with no explanation as to why. This was not a good experience which is disappointing because we really liked their cabinets.

I can't say enough good things about Guilin Cabinets. They were the first to respond to my kitchen remodel request. Jack came on time and spent a lot of time listening and measuring to ensure the estimate was on mark. Believe it not, my project started earlier than the initial projected time and finished early as well. My project manager was Andrew and he made sure everything was done correctly and ALWAYS responded to my texts right away. I also appreciated the group texts with all people involved with my kitchen update. I highly recommend Guilin Cabinets to anyone who wants a stress free remodel experience.

I have tried to be patient, but today was the last straw I have let things go through all the mistakes, lies, no shows, no responses, and poor quality work (pretty much daily throughout the project). But the most important thing I wanted to protect our family was to put up plastic to keep the dust contained. With no warning, and 2 weeks past the promised completion date, they are doing demo (of poorly installed tile) and dust is going everywhere. They absolutely don't give a s#$t.

Also, they try to sell themselves as premium, but hire the cheapest people they can find. Will the work ever get done??
